Professor Maria Polinsky (Department of Linguistics) will direct a Heritage Language Research Institute at Harvard.  The primary mission of the Institute is to develop a research base for the heritage linguistics field.  Polinsky will be joined by a research team representing the National Heritage Language Research Center (UCLA, Director Dr. Olga Kagan).
