Guss has been involved in a multifaceted project documenting the history
of Somerville's fourteen movie theatres. In addition to creating a permanent
oral history archive on these theatres, he is also curating an exhibition
entitled "Lost Theatres of Someville" which will open at the Somerville
Museum in March 2003. This work has led to the creation of new course entitled
"Theatres of Community and the Social Production of Space." It
will be offered at Tufts this spring.
