Jon D. Levenson, Albert A.
List Professor of Jewish Studies, received his A.B. in English from Harvard
College and his M.A. and Ph.D from Harvard University in Near Eastern
Languages and Civilizations. His research interests include
theological traditions in acient Israel (biblical and rabbinic periods),
ancient Near Eastern religion, literary interpretation of the Hebrew Bible,
Midrash, modern Jewish theology, and Jewish-Christian relations. Before
coming to Harvard, Professor Levenson was a Professor Hebrew Bible in
the Divinity School and in the Committee on General Studies in the Humanities
at the University of Chicago; and Assistant Professor of Religion and
Biblical Studies, Wellesley College. |
